The eleven trail themes provide options ranging for water sports, nature-based drawcards, local produce, cultural heritage, cycling, fishing, bird watching and great coffee..and lots, lots more.
The Macquarie River Trails are nestled between – and link – established touring routes focussed around the Warrumbungles, Mudgee wines, Lightning Ridge, the Darling River Run, the Cobb & Co Trail and the Animals on Bikes trail.
It plugs a geographic gap and adds new and exciting opportunities to build on the region’s most popular established tourism product, Taronga Western Plains Zoo.
