Dundullimal Homestead, Dubbo
The homestead is one of the oldest slab homes in Australia and is a unique example of ‘old’ technology using the local environment.
Dundullimal Homestead retains many significant Aboriginal sites and artefacts from pre-European settlement. By 1836 the land was occupied by squatters who made significant changes to the environment in order to produce goods for their survival.
Tours are available of the homestead and a café serves light lunches and Devonshire teas.
We specialise in group tours, educational tours, functions and weddings.
Dundullimal Homestead Education Programs have been developed for primary and secondary schools. A unique program looks at change and continuity over time, cultural diversity and different technologies used to meet the needs of the traditional Aboriginal and European people within the one environment
